EGYPTAIR has recently addressed rumors circulating on social media about the airline issuing tickets in foreign currency within Egypt. The airline reaffirms its commitment to abide by the regulations set by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
These regulations stipulate that:
Airline tickets sold within Egypt for flights originating from Egypt to international destinations must be issued in the local currency, the Egyptian pound.
Tickets for flights beginning outside of Egypt cannot be issued within the country.
This clarification comes in response to speculation on social media platforms and aims to assure customers of EGYPTAIR's continued adherence to local laws and regulations.
