British Airways is set to reconnect travelers between London and Saudi Arabia with the return of its direct route from London Heathrow, launching on 4 November 2024. Announced at the GREAT FUTURES expo in Riyadh, an event dedicated to strengthening UK-Saudi business ties, the airline’s reinstated service enhances connectivity between the two nations.
Operated by British Airways’ modern Boeing 787 fleet, this new route will run four times weekly, complementing the airline’s existing daily flights between Riyadh and Heathrow Terminal 5.
Colm Lacy, Chief Commercial Officer at British Airways, emphasized the importance of this move:
"British Airways has a long-standing tradition of bringing people together—whether for business, family, or leisure. As economic opportunities grow between Saudi Arabia and the UK, we are delighted to restore this key route and strengthen our ties."
