Emirates to Launch Premium Economy on Popular Routes Starting August

Emirates is raising the bar for in-flight luxury with the introduction of its all-new Premium Economy class. This exciting cabin will offer more than just extra legroom—it brings luxurious seating and a level of service that rivals business class on many airlines. Starting 1 August, passengers traveling on Emirates’ popular A380 routes to London, Paris, and Sydney can experience this exclusive offering, with Christchurch set to join the list in December.

Passengers will enjoy a truly distinctive travel experience as Emirates unveils its full Premium Economy product, both onboard and on the ground. The airline will open the highly anticipated Premium Economy class for booking starting 1 June 2022.

Emirates President Sir Tim Clark shared: “As with everything we do, Emirates Premium Economy will be exceptional in its class, with meticulous attention given to every detail of the customer experience. Passengers upgrading from Economy will find excellent value in this new offering.”

Since launching its Premium Economy seats in January 2021, Emirates has seen overwhelming demand. Currently, six of the airline’s A380s are equipped with this new cabin class, but the airline has ambitious plans for expansion. Beginning in November, Emirates will retrofit 67 A380s and 53 Boeing 777s with Premium Economy cabins. By the end of the program, Emirates will boast 126 aircraft featuring this premium product, alongside its latest upgrades across other cabins.
