KLM is set to expand its service to 155 destinations this summer, with 92 in Europe and 63 on an intercontinental scale. The airline is planning an approximate 7% surge in seat availability compared to the summer of 2023, nearing pre-pandemic numbers. The enhanced summer schedule begins on 31 March 2024 and extends until 26 October 2024.
KLM is stepping up flight frequency to numerous intercontinental locations. More flights will be dispatched to Jakarta in conjunction with Kuala Lumpur, as well as to Denpasar paired with Singapore. Direct flights to Osaka are back on the roster and daily trips to Tokyo Narita will recommence. Additional flights are also planned for Taipei, Hong Kong, Montreal, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Current capacity for North American destinations surpasses that of 2019. These modifications form part of a dynamic strategy whereby the network adapts to market conditions, considering available aircraft and personnel.
From 1 April, KLM will return to providing daily service to Tel Aviv, with a layover at Larnaca until at least 19 May. The airline is keeping a close watch on the security landscape in Israel.
Within Europe, KLM is ramping up flight frequency to several destinations for the summer. In Scandinavia, daily service will be offered to Billund (Denmark) and Stavanger (Norway). In the UK, there will be more flights to Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Southampton. KLM will maintain its service to Marseille from the winter season and offer daily trips to Nice. In Poland, the frequency will rise for Krakow, Gdansk, and Wroclaw. An increase in flights to Prague (Czech Republic) is also planned for the summer. In Italy, more flights will be available for Bologna, Florence, and Genoa.
