KLM Expands Summer 2024 Schedule with Increased Destinations and Flights
KLM is gearing up for an expansive summer schedule in 2024, offering flights to 155 destinations worldwide. This includes 92 European cities and 63 intercontinental locations. With an estimated 7% increase in seat availability compared to the summer of 2023, the airline is approaching pre-pandemic operational levels. The summer schedule will run from March 31 to October 26, 2024.
Enhanced Intercontinental Services
KLM is boosting flight frequency to several long-haul destinations. Travelers can expect increased flights to Jakarta via Kuala Lumpur and Denpasar via Singapore. Direct flights to Osaka are making a comeback, while Tokyo Narita will see daily service reinstated. Additional flights are also planned for Taipei, Hong Kong, Montreal, Toronto, and Los Angeles, with North American capacity now exceeding 2019 levels.
As part of its adaptable network strategy, KLM is aligning services with market demand, available aircraft, and crew availability. From April 1, KLM will resume daily flights to Tel Aviv with a layover in Larnaca, continuing at least until May 19. The airline is closely monitoring the security situation in Israel.
Expanded European Network
Within Europe, KLM is increasing flight frequencies to multiple destinations. In Scandinavia, Billund (Denmark) and Stavanger (Norway) will now have daily service. In the United Kingdom, travelers can expect more flights to Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Southampton.
Additionally, KLM will extend its winter service to Marseille and provide daily flights to Nice. In Poland, flights to Krakow, Gdansk, and Wroclaw will see a rise in frequency. More flights are also scheduled for Prague (Czech Republic) and key Italian cities such as Bologna, Florence, and Genoa.
This strategic expansion reflects KLM’s commitment to enhancing global connectivity while adapting to market trends and operational capacity. Passengers can look forward to improved access to popular destinations throughout the summer of 2024.
