Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia Launch Strategic Partnership to Enhance Travel Experience

Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia have announced an exciting new strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the travel experience for passengers. This collaboration will expand both airlines' networks, lounges, and loyalty programs, offering more convenience and exceptional customer service to travelers flying between Australia and Qatar Airways' global destinations.

With this partnership, passengers will enjoy seamless connections between Virgin Australia's major hubs in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, and Qatar Airways' extensive international network. Qatar Airways operates daily flights to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, as well as three weekly flights to Adelaide, which continue on to Auckland, New Zealand.

Through a new codeshare agreement, Qatar Airways travelers will be able to easily connect to 35 destinations within Virgin Australia's domestic network, including popular tourist spots such as Cairns, Gold Coast, Alice Springs, and Broome—all on a single booking. Additionally, Qatar Airways passengers will gain access to Virgin Australia's relaunch of short-haul international routes to destinations like Fiji and Queenstown, New Zealand.

For Virgin Australia customers and members of the airline's Velocity Frequent Flyer program, this partnership opens doors to Qatar Airways' expansive network of over 140 destinations across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Travelers will also benefit from smooth connections through Hamad International Airport in Doha, known as the 'World’s Best Airport' according to Skytrax.
