Strong Load Factors Across Domestic and International Flights
Passenger demand remained strong, with an overall load factor of 85.4%—meaning most seats were filled. Domestic flights saw an even higher load factor at 90.2%, while international routes maintained a solid 84.9%.
Cargo Operations on the Rise
Turkish Airlines also recorded growth in its cargo and mail operations, transporting 145,000 tons in September—an increase of 7.6% compared to 2019.

From January to September 2022, Turkish Airlines carried 53.9 million passengers. The overall load factor stood at 79.7%, with domestic flights at 86.6% and international flights at 79%.
Capacity also expanded significantly, with total available seat kilometers (ASK) reaching 150.9 billion—surpassing the 140.6 billion recorded during the same period in 2019. Meanwhile, the airline's cargo operations saw a 12.7% increase, reaching 1.3 million tons in the first nine months of the year.
