Highlighting Leaders in Sustainable Tourism at the Inaugural WSTHA Gala Ceremony in Belize
The World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards (WSTHA) has extended the deadline for its 2024 call for entries to 31 May. This extension offers pioneers in sustainable travel an opportunity to gain global recognition for their efforts through the new program launched by the World Travel Awards. Individuals and organizations worldwide, who are driving change and making a positive impact in tourism, are encouraged to enter the competition for free. With just one week left before the extended deadline, now is the time to submit entries. An Advisory Board of experts has selected 21 categories that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the net positive framework of People, Planet, Place, Prosperity, and Partnerships. Key dates for the awards are as follows: Extended Entry Deadline: 31 May Nominations Revealed and Global Voting Opens: 14 June Voting Closes: 2 August Gala Ceremony in Belize: 27 September Global voting, which will be open to travel and tourism professionals, is scheduled to run from 14 June to 2 August. The leaders in sustainable travel will be invited to the inaugural WSTHA Gala Ceremony in Belize, the official host destination, on 27 September, where the winners will be announced.
