Home of Kahlil Gibran, ancient cedars, and deep mountain soul
Ideal for poets, hikers, heritage travelers, and mountain lovers
Bsharri is not just a town — it’s Lebanon’s cultural and spiritual heartland, dramatically perched above the Kadisha Valley. With its snow-dusted rooftops in winter, cool alpine breezes in summer, and proximity to the Cedars of God, this historic Maronite village is the perfect blend of natural beauty and deep-rooted heritage.
Bsharri is also the birthplace of the beloved poet Kahlil Gibran, whose words echo the soul of Lebanon.
Set in a former monastery, this museum houses Gibran Kahlil Gibran’s original manuscripts, artwork, and tomb. Surrounded by cliffs and cedars, it’s a must-visit for any literature or philosophy lover.
Only a 10-minute drive up the mountain, this grove of 2,000-year-old trees is one of Lebanon’s proudest natural landmarks. Perfect for a nature walk or snow photos in winter.
Bsharri’s high position offers some of the best views of the valley below. The town is a great base for hiking, monastery visits, and sunset viewing over this UNESCO-protected canyon.
