Hobbiton was first constructed in 1999 for The Lord of the Rings trilogy and later expanded for The Hobbit trilogy. The set is situated on a 1,250-acre sheep farm owned by the Alexander family, who have worked closely with the film's production team to create an authentic and immersive experience.
