Mimi Cheng’s will close its last New York City location in the East Village on September 11, ending 12 years at its original location run by sisters Hannah and Marian Cheng. Its dumplings continue to be sold across the country, including at Whole Foods.

Longtime Greenpoint Japanese cafe Ashbox has also closed. Owner Yoko Kubo cited health issues, with a farewell held through August 28.

Fast-casual Mexican seafood restaurant Mariscos El Submarino is expanding to the West Village with a location at 31 Cornelia Street near Bleecker Street.

Brooklyn Brewery is relocating from 79 N. 11th Street in Williamsburg to 1 Wythe Avenue at Banker Street. Its final party at the longtime location is scheduled for August 29, with the new location expected to reopen in the fall.

Santo Taco is opening a third New York City location at 232 Bleecker Street in the West Village in September. The restaurant will serve tacos, margaritas, and aguas frescas in a 28-seat space with counter service and outdoor dining.
